I’m telling myself that it’s a social experiment. I’m telling myself that it’s a chance to see the power of eBay. I’m trying to convince myself that the human race is intelligent and has a hopeful, bright future.
Or, maybe I’m just trying to supplement my college tuition dollars.
Whatever the case may be, we are doing this, and the results remain to be seen. My guess at this point? If the auction ends with somebody purchasing this for more than it’s actually worth ($.06 plus shipping and handling), then I will have completely lost all faith in humanity and will take whatever earnings I make and apply them towards my trip into outer space to get away from you crazy fsckers. If not, then a sad, neglected corner of my psyche, one which still holds a glimmering, individual sparkle of hope for the inhabitants of this world, will grow by a small amount, and maybe, just maybe, I’ll smile.
So, if you wish to see me pissed off, yet slightly less poverty-stricken, bid on this item. If you wish to renew my faith in mankind, ignore it, and it’ll just go away in a week.
